On their debut album, the Harlem World crew proves that its affiliation with the multi-platinum Mase is not its strongest quality. Rather, the group's strength lies in its uncommon mixture of commercial appeal, street sense, and simple personality. Consisting of six MCs, including Mase's own twin sister Baby Stase, the group addresses topics to which hip-hop listeners can easily relate. On "Not The Kids," Loon, Huddy Combs, and Stase trade verses on the importance of parenting. "Meaning Of Family," one of the album's more hardcore-sounding songs, allows the rappers to proclaim their willingness to go "all out"--which also happens to be the name of Mase's label and their home--for each other. Other songs, such as "One Big Fiesta" and "I Really Like It," provide the dance hits to put Harlem World at the top of the charts.
