This set of hollowcast men is in EXCELLENT, near mint condition.  There are a two bits of paint loss on the Officer’s horse legs [see photos] and another horse with a small amount of loss on his leg.  Otherwise I see no damage to these figures.  They are as bright and shiny as the day they came out of the box.  It was purchased new, by us, in the 1940s.  NO REPAINTING OR REPAIR.  This set is in such great condition because it has been in a box for the past fifty years. Sorry, NO BOX.

This is a set of five (5) hollowcast toy soldiers – four (4) men and one (1) officer – that are glossy painted and wearing their silver helmets with red plumes, silver cuirasses over dark blue tunics with red collars, white gloves and white breeches.  Their faces and hands are painted in a flesh tone with black dot eyes, pink dot cheeks and red dot lips.  Two of the men are mounted on walking horses, their swords held in their hands and their plumes flat, and the other two are mounted on trotting horses with swords held in their hands and their plumes flying.  The retained officer is mounted on a rearing horse and holding an outstretched sword.  Beneath their horses’ is a clearly printed “COPYRIGHT BRITAINS LTD PROPRIETORS MADE IN ENGLAND” mark.
