Record Grading Preparation Information
All records are professionally washed and vacuumed prior to grading. All records visually examined under a 250 watt halogen light bulb for defects. Recordings that are questionable (VG or less) are play graded to insure that they do play and do not skip or stick. graded records will have additional information in the notes section if needed.
Packaging Information
Each record is placed in a new paper sleeve. The cover is placed in a new plastic protective sleeve to insure that it arrives safely. The record will be shipped outside the LP cover to prevent seam splitting.
We are not perfect and mistakes happen occasionally. If you get a mis-graded record, please email us and let us know so the issue can be resolved. We will always work to resole any issues in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
Grading Scale:
SS = Still Factory Sealed, In factory-fresh condition
NM = Near Mint - A near perfect record.
EX = Excellent - Close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to EX.
VG+ = Very Good Plus - Visible light wear but will play nicely with some light noise.
VG = Very Good - a used, reasonable copy for the price. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of moderate surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages. Great for burning to CD.
VG- = Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise and visible defects.
Please use the Grading Method above when bidding.
All VG and lesser graded records have been played all the way through and a play grade will be noted in the description. We do not play grade items graded VG + or higher.
