A mystery shopper is hired by a company to check out their store as an undercover "Shopper". They fill out a report and are reimbursed for their time and, in many cases keep the items they "shopped."

This book has lists of  companies that hire mystery shoppers and the information you need to contact them.

This book was advertised only 2-4 years ago, so the info. in it is pretty current.
