This was the world's first 9-band Radar/Laser Detector represents the ultimate in detection technology. It is designed to maximize your awareness of your driving environment by reducing your risk of accidents and traffic violations. The unit boasts a bunch of useful features, including Safety Alert that warns drivers of emergency vehicles and road hazards from systems equipped with Safety Alert transmitters. A Cobra exclusive StrobeAlert function, works with tens of thousands of emergency vehicles currently equipped with Strobe Alert Systems and provides advanced alert of the presence and/or approach of these vehicles. LaserEye provides 360-degree detection of laser signals. VG-2 Alert notifies users when they are under surveillance of VG-2 radar detection. There is also a function that provides immunity to VG-2 detection. UltraBright Data Display provides easy recognition of band detected by use of band identification letters. Signal Strength Indicators provide the user with relative proximity to the target. AutoMute automatically silences the alert tone for enhanced driver convenience. City/Highway Switch allows the user to select operating mode reducing the frequency of falsing in densely populated urban areas. Dim Mode Switch lets you dim the radar detector display enhancing night-driving visibility.
