This is a vintage backgammon game in its own case which also serves as the playing board when open.  The game has never been used - dice and checkers  are still in unopened plastic.  The carrying case is complete with a handle and two brasstone metal latches. Two keys are included.  Over time, even though sitting in a cabinet, the case shows some small wear while the latches have started to discolor.   The case measures about 11 " wide, 2 1/2 high and about 15 1/2" long (closed).

Backgammon is a game of entrapment and escape.  Your objective is to trap one or more of your opponent's "men" in your home court.  At the same time, you must escape your opponent's home court and gather all of your "men" in your home court.
