Host-Protected Recovery System
The Professional C6x sets itself apart from other music computers with its magical backup/recovery facility. How does it work? Before a C6x is born we create a special partition called a Host-Protected Area on the main drive for the original factory image and future user-created backups. The HPA is invisible to Windows and cannot be erased or tampered with by normal computer operations. This preserves and protects backups and the factory image from damage, deletions, viruses and other dangers. This protection is so robust that you can restore the C6x to its original factory state even after the drive was accidentally re-formatted.
