The Asics Mexico 66s were training shoes, first introduced in 1966. And they were worn at the Olympic Games in Mexico in 1968. This particular style, however, "is a special shoe in Onitsuka Tiger's history as it was not originally found in any catalogues from Tokyo. This mid-cut version was discovered in the archives of the ASICS Research and Development department in Kobe. The mid-cut feature was intended to support the ankle and was used as a training shoe for the Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, and Pole Vaulting events" (acording to Asics).
This particular pair is men's 7.5 US in white leather with black accents.
