This IS A GREAT FIND.

This is a 1909 Breckenridge, Mo. city map.~~ Breckenridge, Mo. is located in Northeastern Missouri. The current population is 420 people. In 1909 the map states that the population was 1350

This map was made by SANBORN MAP COMPANY, 11 BROADWAY, NEW YORK in 1909. There is a seal in the upper right hand corner of the map.

The map, folded is approx. 14" x 22"- unfolded it is 14" x 44".

The map shows the locations of the school, in the Colfax section. It also indicates where the railroad, and water facilities were located- it has a small legion w/  the WISCONSIN SECOND ADDITION. Most of the homes in this addition were not built yet.

The map folds out to show differant sections of the town, like a calendar.

The houses/buildings, etc. are color coordinated to indicate what each structure was made from. The map indicates what type of business was in each building. In reference to the homes, each home is sectioned off- indicating where the  front and back porches were located. The map shows the town square and all the churches. This is a very unique map. It has a seal on the map that states it was not to be duplicated, as Sanborn owns the copyright.

The map was found in the kitchen wall of our home, when we were remodeling. We live in Breckenridge, Mo. The map does have a few mouse "nibbles" in the upper right hand corner. The back and front cover age aged "heavy paper". There are crease marks, as the map had been folded up in the wall.

The scale is 50' to an inch
