heavy tall Soviet surplus military boots

For sale: one pair of tall Russian 'kersey' army boots

These are much like the boots coming out of the Ukraine in the following auction:

They are tall, heavy, and made entirely out of sturdy leather, not like the cheap boots that came out of East Germany. The leather is pigskin and has a pebble texture. The leather is sturdy enough that the boots stand up by themselves.

The top third of the shaft is lined in a dark brown canvas, and there are cloth pull loops on the inside. There are Russian characters stamped on the lining, but the ink is faint, and I don't read Russian. :)

I believe the size is basically about a size 9. Here are the basic measurements: the soles are 11.5" x 4.25"; the heels are 1"; the overall height is 17"; and the wide circumference at the top measures about 18".

The soles are entirely made of hard pieces of leather and are put together with nails.

The condition is barely used: there is some initial wear on the soles and heels, and a few scuffs here and there, but basically they're in clean, un-broken-in condition.

These boots would probably not be the most comfortable thing to wear to the next May Day parade, but they are a great authentic piece of Soviet history!
