Victorian Gothic PVC Bustle Dress Gown Goth Taffeta

This was a dress I made for a lovely client of mine, and I loved making it so much I decided to offer it up here! This auction is for a CUSTOM ensemble, in your size and with your color choice of taffeta! PLEASE see my "about me" page for my guidelines for custom made creations. Thanks!

This dress is made lightly following historically accurate patterns. It is made to fit over a corset, but if you can fit it without it should be fine as the top is boned and has three layers to keep a good shape. The overskirt can accomodate a small bustle or pillow.

The overskirt is a classic bustle skirt, with a swagged front and side pleats, and the back is pulled up by ribbons. The PVC underskirt does not allow for a bustle, but you could wear a bustle pillow underneath this overskirt to hold the dress out. But I think it looks fine down, too, Im just suggesting. The overskirt front is trimmed with gathered organza ribbon with trim down the middle.

The top is interlined with heavy cotton and lined with 100% cotton for breathability. The seams are all boned as well. The top features a high victorian collar, contrast  PVC vest front, 12 buttons, gathered organza trim and loose box pleats in the back. After auction end, I will send a form to you that illustrates how to take the measurements I need. Please be aware that the dress will only be as accurate as your measurements! Please note that I cannot start making this dress until I have the measurements! Wearing a corset underneath is recommended but not required, but before taking any measurements, please wear the undergarments you plan on wearing. (Bra, corset ect...) and then measure. Thanks!
