The cable has 11-pin HTC proprietary port plug that you insert into the phone. The opposite end will plug into the power socket (cigarette lighter) of your car. Hands-Free Speaker: The base of this unit has mic/speaker so you can talk in the car handsfree. Press the phone button and you can answer an incoming call. There is a dial on the side to increase/decrease volume. Car Charger: There is an on/off switch so you can control when you want to charge. The LED light is green while charging and red without charging. The usb port on the base will allow you to plug in an additional device to charge. This is cool because you can use that port to charge an iPod, bluetooth headset, 2nd cell phone, etc. up to Audio Ports: As you know, there is only one port on your HTC phone used for both charger and headset.
