Wizard's War Chest is a compilation of three strategic fantasy games bundled together in one package. Players can cast over 300 spells on the battlefields of Etherlords, Etherlords II, and Evil Islands: Curse of the Lost Soul.

Etherlords

Etherlords is a game designed to challenge strategic thinking while entertaining with multimedia. In a style based on trading card games (such as Wizards of the Coast's popular Magic: The Gathering), players take the roles of sorcerers from one of four mystical lands. By managing resources, defending assets, and challenging rivals, the sorcerers develop new spells and gain more power. Players do battle in a mystical 3D game world featuring over 150 monstrous creatures to control and 300 different spells to cast.

Etherlords II

It is the era after the "Time of Change," and four races -- Synthets, Chaots, Vitals, and Kinets -- battle for domination. Etherlords II: continues the turn-based tactical gameplay of Etherlords with refined strategic options, more creature-cards to control, and a powerful map editor. Players now control the same hero for an entire campaign and oversee his/her development -- hero progress is also represented by changes in appearance. Heroes can wield up to 16 spells in a battle, and additional spells can now be stored in a "rucksack" for later use. Five campaigns are filled with non-linear missions, boats, tunnels, transports, and hundreds of spells and creatures.

Evil Islands

Evil Islands is a role-playing adventure with strong aspects of tactical strategy. The game is designed to offer the player freedom in decision making, both in battle and in character development, allowing the player's character to go where he wishes when he wishes, in search of adventure and glory. The customizable camera perspective allows the player to zoom in on an enemy close enough to observe his equipment and see how he is armed, then move out for a tactical view of the battlefield that shows the relative positions of all friends and foes.

Emphasizing the idea that a small, well-placed strike can be at least as effective as a large-scale onslaught, the skilled player can direct the character to sneak past guards, crawl safely through dangerous areas, or even perform a surprise backstab attack on an unwitting villain. The game features 80 different quests, requiring both bravado and surreptitiousness for ultimate success. Up to six human-controlled characters can adventure together over the Internet or a local network.
