A full issue of Le Miroir des Sports, dated July 1 1925, featuring the European Grand Prix driving champion Antonio Ascari, in his final race.
36 yr old Ascari, driving the Alfa Romeo P2, was leading the French Grand Prix on July 26 1925 when he was killed on the Montlhery Autodrome. His 7 yr old son Alberto Ascari went on to be a champion Formula One driver who also died at the wheel at the also on the 26th of the month at the age of 36 driving a friends Ferrari for fun..
