Offered is a gorgeous uncommon standing Lady Liberty with US flag and extending a wreath in her left hand. It is a colorful 1 1/4" 1.25 inch 1904 celluloid pinback political campaign button badge promoting Judge ALTON PARKER and HENRY DAVIS as Democrats for President and Vice President against Theodore TR Teddy Roosevelt and Charles Fairbanks, Republicans. A true rarity that is scarce and uncommon listed in HAKE as PAR 125 similar to the hard to find Shure Mike jugate and arguably the most rare of the four (4) Lady Liberty pinback campaign buttons. Although the white background has some uniform staining as shown, the celluloid is bright and clean and the back paper is complete showing "Made by Baltimore Badge & Novelty Company Baltimore, MD Design Patented" with ALLIED PRINTING TRADES COUNCIL UNION LABEL BALTIMORE, MD. No. 16." Tom French listed an example "with just a hint of discoloration within the white field" at a $600 to 700 value in his May 28, 2008 Auction #23.
