This was made in approx. 1880's.  Both sides drop down so that you are able to get to you critter.  This is the way it is made.  YOU MAY USE IT FOR WHAT YOU LIKE.  WE ARE SELLING IT AS A DOLL BED ONLY!!!!  This is all cast iron and has been recently repainted, and a nice job done at that.  The headboard is 45 inches tall.  The footboard is 30 inches tall and both are 35 inches wide.  This fits a matress that is 31 1/4 inches wide x 55 inches.  This all comes apart and can be shipped by UPS ground.
