There are No major brassing, dings , No dents, Super Clean inside out.. 

This camera fits and works well with all AI and newer AI-S type Auto Focus(AF) or Manual Focus(MF) lenses. When work with AF lenses, the lens only operates manually.

This beautiful camera has only seen light use. There is no major marks, or brassing at all. The camera is super clean inside out. The only reason why this camera is not rated Mint is that the two upper front corners have very light sign of wear. the upper right corner of the body has a tiny pen-tip size nick which is not obvious at all and you have to look close to see it.  The top cover is other wise in near mint condition. The left edge of back door has light signs of wear but no dings or major brassing. The bottom also has light wear but no dings, no brassing of any kind.  This camera is otherwise in Near Mint condition. The leatherette is tight , smooth and super clean. The letterings and numbers are all crisp and sharp. No any obvious sing of wear on the levers and controls. The top of the viewfinder housing is in near mint ocndition

Battery compartment is corrosion free. Pressure plate is clean and looks new. Light meter is right on, shutter curtain is clean and also looks new, shutter speed is accurate. Film advance is silky smooth. Shutter speed dial is firm and snappy and stops correctly. Focus screen is exceptionaly clean , free of dust or marks of any kind. Mirror is clean free of scratches. Mirror damper and light seal are both in great condition.  All moving parts or controls function perfectly.

This camera is designed to operate without the batteries. The batteries will only work to power the meter.

The FM2 camera bodies feature the ability to change focusing screens and also featured the flash sync speed of 1/200th sec. The FM2N is an upgrate from FM2 which has the top sync speed of 1/250 second. Top shutter speed is 1/4000 second which is still the fastest shutter speed amount all comercially produced mechanical camera even today.

It is a wonderful experience to own and use this immaculate modern classic camera.
