VINTAGE ITALIAN "ANTIQUE WHITE" LIVING ROOM

A CLASSICAL ITALIAN DESIGN STYLE OF THE LATE 18^TH CENTURY

UP for Sale is this Italian hand painted 7-piece living room set, each piece was hand constructed and hand painted in Italy by traditional craftsmen and artists. This Italian Victorian Style Set is made of beautiful solid wood, hand painted in Antique White, painted floral garland surrounds all sides including the mitered and concave corners in tones of yellow, blue, rose, pink and green. It also features a luxurious button tufted center back Rose Velvet upholstery.

This furniture is designed to evoke the furniture style of 18th Century Italy with a modern touch and ideal for settings such as estates, hotels, restaurants, and professional film and photo set props services.

There is also a pair of matching lamps, one chandelier lamp, one foyer console with marble top and wall mirror, that goes with this set, which are being sold in separate auctions.

Condition and History

The Set is in good condition but due to its vintage age and use it has normal wear such as marks, scratches, scuffs, wood splits and the wood/upholstery might need cleaning, refurbished or replaced. The marble might have some minor spots and marks (see condition pictures); overall this pieces presents beautifully and fits in various settings. Cracking, splitting and warping is highly unlikely with this quality furniture, although changes may occur slightly due to temperature and climate adjustments. Solid wood products constantly respond to their environment, especially in harsher climates and when exposed to temperature fluctuations. It’s highly recommended and the responsibility of the potential buyer to have the furniture thoroughly examined and personally inspected by a professional before bidding or buying.

Please note that this complete set was originally purchase new in 1981 from Italian Furniture Importers, Roma Furniture Co., Inc. in the Little Italy area of Manhattan, New York for approximately $15,000 and the physical location of items is now located by the Miami Airport, Florida 33010.

The handcrafted workmanship of this set may cause slight differences in measurements, carvings and finish, however most people find that the old world methods used in the construction of these unique pieces add to their beauty and character.
