Antique 1900 gold decorative woman's watch
You are bidding on unusual gold, decorative woman's watch. On the face of the watch is written "FAYS Melbourne", the Company which sold this watch for the first time. Matching gents watch, next auction. Cylinder movement. Overall, this is a great antique watch that still runs although it has not been checked for accuracy.
This beautiful watch probably dates from the end of the 19th century, and would have been an expensive piece when made. It is a stunning example of a fashion accessory for the style-conscious lady of the day.

Watches can only be insured up to US$1500 internationally so I cannot be held responsible for any shortfall in insurance claims as I am limited to what the shipping companies can provide for insured services. MINT: 99%,"NEW OLD STOCK" same as factory new, no faint scratches, no trace of screwdriver marks. is original in every way: crystal, hands, dial, case, movement.
FINE: 80%, May have new hands, new crystal, but original case, dial and movement. Faint hairline and no chips on dial; no large scratches; no brass seen on case
GOOD: 75%, Original case, dial and movnt. Movnt may have a part replaced. No brass showing through, no rust or chips on dial. May have hairlines in dial that are hard to see.
FAIR: 60%, Hairlines in dial and small chips, slight amount of brass can be seen through worn spots. Rust marks in movmnt, a small dent in case. Wear in case, dial, and movnt. May have not original dial or case
POOR: 40%, GOOD 4 PARTS or TO FIX , Watch not working, needs new dial, case well worn, many dents, hands maybe gone. Rough, good parts watch, may need heavy restoration to run correctly.
2 FIX or 4 PARTS: This watch may or may not have all its parts and may or may not run. Expect it to only have only what is photographed and though it may tick when wound or rocked. Do not expect it to run.
