Bought these speakers from Crutchfield.com when I decided to upgrade my VW GTI's stereo system. Then, I decided to let a pro do the upgrade, and he had his own recommendations for speakers.

These smaller speakers are designed for the front doors of the GTI, wheras the larger speakers (DB651 - separately listed) were for the rear doors of the 4 door model.

These are brand new, still in the box, with mounting brackets for the GTI (though they may work for other cars as well).
