This auction is for a used Toshiba's Satellite A85-S107 laptop computer for parts or repair. One of Toshiba's Satellite line, intended to be inexpensive workhorses perfect for home and student use. This auction includes computer, power supply/charger, Toshiba recovery disk with certificate of authenticity & Toshiba booklet. This Laptop is sold AS IS!!!! The Toshiba Satellite A85-S107 has an Intel® Celeron® M 360J (1.40GHz) processor, and comes with 256MB SDRAM, with one expandable memory slot. The laptop comes with a 40GB (5400 RPM) hard drive, a fixed bay DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive (CD-ROM 24x read, DVD-ROM 8x read, CD-R and CD-RW 24x write), and a 15.0-inch diagonal TruBrite™ TFT active-matrix LCD screen, onboard Atheros® 802.11b/g wireless-LAN which can be disabled with a simple switch on the front of the laptop, and Microsoft® Windows® XP Home. It will Power on. See pictures for what appears on the screen. When it tries to boot it will come up " Media test failure" A friend looked at it for me & said it is probably the Hard Drive. I am not sure so that is why it is being SOLD AS IS!!!! The Laptop has a Few Minor Scratches on the top cover The LCD screen is nice. There are some screws missing.  Q: You don't need to answer this, but your friend was correct. you have a BAD HDD, install a new one (HDD) and software, and this will work fine.
