The Poem is “The True Meaning of Christmas and was (I believe) written by Joe Peeples.

Poem reads as follows:

In Bethlehem the Child was born to bring God’s love to earth.

And Angels sang and shepherd’s came to praise Him of His birth.

But when the child became a man, the praise soon ceased to be. 

And with their hearts all filled with hate, men nailed him to a tree.

“If you be God come down”, they cried, but no one understood.

His love for us demanded that He shed His precious blood.

Each Christmas when we give our gifts, and joy is everywhere, I’ll think of Christ upon the cross...”t’was love that hung Him there”.

Below the poem is a small cross.  I am guessing it is made of steel but I am not truly sure.

Both are beautifully captured in a matted 10” x 12” (approx) frame.  Ready for hanging.
