Mint B17G Flying Fortress with wood stand. The Franklin Mint tag is attached to the base. The manufacture date is 1989. This plane has NEVER been played with or displayed. In the picture you can see that the wrapping around the stand has not been removed. However peeking under the wrapping reveals a plaque that indicates this is an official issue of the US Air Force Museum Foundation. The canopy comes off, the propellers all turn, the ball turret gunner rotates, the gun under the nose of the plane rotates as does the gun turret on top of the canopy. The bomb bay doors open to reveal the bombs. The front landing gear can be deployed and the rear landing gear is in the fuselage but it doesn't come down. Nor does it look like it was intendend to come down. The plane weighs 1 lb 15oz and measures (with stand): 5.5"T x 13"W x 10" D
The plane will be shipped in the original styrofoam box inside the original cardboard box. The shipping fee assumes a US shipping address. If an international buyer wins the bidding, I'll need to go to the US Post Office and find out what that price would be. I require that all international buyers deposit the money (including the increased shipping charges) into my PayPal account and release the funds before I will ship the car. I have done this with other international buyers without any complaints. |
