1870 VICTORIAN BURL WALNUT LION CHERUB BUFFET SIDEBOARD

FIRST THING, THIS IS AN EXTRAORDINARY, HUGE OR MONUMENTAL, ROSE COLOR MARBLE TOP, VICTORIAN, 1870-80s, SOLID WALNUT AND BURL WALNUT BUFFET OR SIDEBOARD!!!!!!  Things are pretty much oversized looking compared to what you will see on todays market such as the fact that this is almost 6 feet wide x 92 tall x 26 inches front to back.  The marble is rose to brown in color.  Other things to create lots of space are the center carved door in the base that is 2ft x 2ft with heavy deep carvings.  A large man could take his fist and clinch it and that is about the size of the cherub head in the top center with carved draping grapes hanging over each side.  The bevel mirror is huge.  It is nearly 2ft tall and WOW 57 inches wide and has an inch and a half bevel.  This also has huge solid rose wood double castors for durability to roll this large monster on.  The large linen drawer is 42 inches wide x 18 inches front to back and 4 inches deep.  The remaining drawers are 17 inches wide x 18 inches front to back and have a depth of 4 inches.  The left and right lower doors are approximately 18 x 18 inches.  One of the smaller drawers has the original green felt lining for table wear.  When the photos were taken, the mirror had a little bit of silver loss but this has been resilvered since then.  GREAT MIRROR!!!!  Here in the last year or so we were in PA and saw the matching buffet in quartersawn oak.  It was priced at $12,500!!!  Our thoughts are that with this being in victorian walnut it is worth the same if not more than the oak one.  PLEASE TAKE NOTICE OF THE FABULOUS TOP OR CROWN BOARD!!!!!  In the very top center there are two lion heads.  The cherub head, again, is the size of a mans fist, with great carvings.  There are two bevel mirrors that are sort of quarter rounded.  THEY'RE GREAT!!!!  These mirrors are 23 inches wide x 7 inches tall. This is aprox. 130 years plus old and does have some varnish loss but nothing to speak of.
