Item Description
Buried under a box of vintage Lincoln Logs was a great lot of vintage Children's books from the 20's and 30's. All are in very rough condition but will definitely be of value to someone's vintage book collection. This lot is for four Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stores from the 20's. Here is a breakdown of what is included:
- Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories, First Series, by Arthur S. Maxwell, Review and Herald Publishing Association, Takoma Park, Washington, DC, 1927. Three quarters of the cover is attached, but it is in rough shape. The book's edges are bent but are tightly bound.
- Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories, Second Series, 1927, Front cover is present but not attached--no back cover. Title page has tear but pages are tightly bound.
- Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories, Third Series, 1929. Front and rear covers present but not attached. Book's pages are tightly bound.
- Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories, Fourth Series, 1927, No cover but pages are tightly bound.
Also included is a 1938 copy of Prayers for Little Children. It is in rough condition itself, with the cover having been taped on at one time, but the illustrations alone are worth a look.
