From my personal collection you are bidding on an audio CD of two Old Time Radio shows starring the Great American tenor JAMES MELTON. Melton was a famous Metropolitan Opera and movie star when he got his own radio show, and he always had a woman guest singer on the show with him. Here are TWO JAMES MELTON SHOWS, recorded on very good transcriptions discs for the period, with Melton in top form. This was a classic Old Time Radio show from World War Two, and very patriotic in nature. The first show guest stars Metropolitan Opera and movie star GRACE MOORE, and the second show is the 1944 Christmas Show, guest starring Metropolitan Opera star RISE STEVENS . Back in the 1940s, American Opera singers would sing anything at all- spirituals, cowboy songs, popular hits tunes and opera arias. Melton sang and introduced everything and everyone, and his live studio audiences loved everything he did. His guests are each in great voice, and get lots of air time. The collection is complete on 1 CD, has complete tracking, is on-pitch, and comes in a jewel box.
