Goodyear's Manufacturing Company
Up for auction is this Revolving Spray Syringe, No.500, for use in vaginal douching. It was manufactured by Goodyear's Manufacturing Company of Naugatuck, Connecticut. Goodyear established the Naugatuck India Rubber Company in 1843 and in 1898, the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was founded. This would place the production of the Revolving Spray Syringe between 1843 and 1898.

The rubber bulb is completely intact but hardened from age and, certainly, is not usable, if one was so inclined. The box shows signs of wear, as pictured, but the instructions on the inside box top have been completely preserved and are very legible.

This medical device of a bygone era would display nicely in a collection of historical medical items. Buyer pays a flat $6 for Priority Mail shipping in the US.
