 Long sold out, Sideshow Collectibles produced only 1000 pcs of the Exclusive Indiana Jones Premium Format Statue.  This auction is for #283.  The Premium Format Indiana Jones figure presents the adventuring archaeologist as he appears in Raiders of the Lost Ark, standing tall with the fertility idol and bullwhip in hand. The figure features a belted holster that houses a removable revolver. (Please note: revolver cannot be held in whip hand.) Down to the tilt of his trademark fedora, each figure is sculpted to Sideshow's museum-quality standards and dressed in an expertly tailored real fabric costume that captures the essence of Dr. Jones. Each piece is hand-cast of high-quality polystone, hand finished and individually numbered.  PLEASE NOTE: The removable revolver has not been designed to be held in either hand. The whip is a separate piece, designed to fit into the left hand only. The fertility idol is removable for safety during shipping, and is held magnetically in the right hand.  The Sideshow Exclusive Indiana Jones Premium Format features:
  • Authentic Harrison Ford likeness sculpted by Trevor Grove
  • Two interchangeable headsculpts - one hatted one not
  • Authentically tailored clothes representing Indy's appearance in Raiders
  • Highly detailed/sculpted bull whip
  • Real leather belt & holster
  • Finely recreated revolver (in the holster in pic 3 - sorry)
  • Fertility Idol with magnetic base (to stay put in Indy's hand)
  • Highly detailed base interpreting the idol chamber seen in the beginning of Raiders

When these were released, there were some issues with a bit of these suffering from a skin tone on the heads, not matching the hands after having been painted too dark.  Thankfully, as you can see from the pic, this piece escaped that darker paint application.

Thinning out my collectibles.  I really, really hate to let this piece go (it's a grail piece for me) but I just don't have the space anymore.  So rather than pack it away in storage, I'd rather it find a nice home with someone who will will display Dr. Jones with the dignity this museum quality piece commands.  Indy has been displayed, but is in MINT condition and from a non smoking, non pet home.
