                       This is a wonderful collection of twelve antique German books. Tortoise paper design with leather and gold design. The edges of the paper were gold touched too but have faded with time. The books measure 4" by 5". Six are dated 1826 and six are 1827. They are numbered in Roman numerals. The owner of this lovely collection has a black and white name plate featuring candles, books, and a star lit sky-"Wilhelmine Petersen". The author is "Seume" and the titles are all different. My German is poor so it is hard for me to read them. All of the bindings are intact-no rips or tears. There are age spots on some of the pages but overall they are in very good condition for their age. AN EXCEPTIONAL COLLECTION!!!
