Jerome Tiger (1941 – 1967) can be regarded as one of the most oustanding of the originators of the modern day Native American paintings and drawings. At the age of 22 –24, he received three susequent first place awards at the Inter tribal Ceremony in Gallup New Mexico, and subsequently was awarded first place recognition in numerous competitions at such diverse spots as Oakland, California , Tulsa, OK (Philbrook Museum), and Sheridan, Wyoming. His untimely death at the age of only 26 was the loss of a great talent to Native American Painting, and since that time he has been many times copied but never exceeded. This work,A CREEK FAMILY, is an early Jerome Tiger which has been copyrighted and reproduced ,numbered, and signed by its owner as a numbered Limited Edition of 550 15 ½”x19 ½” (image size 12” x 16”) prints on museum quality 100% rag content paper.
