I have been told that this is a very early chess piece called a "warder". It is probably medieval - no later than 17th century. I bought it with a lot of other items from the estate of the late Roger Warner. It is carved from a natural animal product and intact. I have not been able to find out much about it (apart from the above). Dimensions: Height: 4.2 cms Width of base: 1.9 cms I will ship abroad. I will combine shipping where possible. Foreign postage cost is calculated at cost + £2 packing. I use Royal Mail or Parcelforce tracking service unless the buyer specifies otherwise. I regret that I am unable to give precise shipping quotes in advance due to the fact that I do not know the packed weight and I am unable to deal with the volume of requests for different destinations. Please see the Royal Mail or Parcelforce website for further details Please see my other auctions from my collection of 17th and 18th century objects |
