Not 100% sure of the material, I'm no chess piece expert, but it's like a marble/ivory feel.

I'm pretty sure this is a painted marble resin chess set of 32; the whole set of 32 pieces weighs 3 pounds, it's heavy.

Green felt on the bottom of the pieces. One White and One Brown Rook have a tiny broken thing on the top.

Very detailed set, really is beautiful.

My wife said her friend bought this set for her ex-husband and it was expensive, but I have no details, just mentioning that. Decide for yourself.
