This is rare NcLane Post Office box door. It measures 3 1/2 inches by 6 inches. The door is of walnut wood with a brass lock. The back of the lock is inscribed PAT. DEC. 10TH, 1878. The door is in outstanding condition for its age. It has the original hinges and numbered round window. The fiber gasket that originally held the glass in place had dried out and someone has replaced it with a leather gasket. It is well done. There is no key for the door but I am sure one could be made by a locksmith. Not many of these doors left. Don't miss this one. USPS Priority Mail on the piece will be a flat rate of $4.95.
