i can see no rips or tears in this one ....... there are some light yellow lines , where it had been folded up for all those many years in the trunk ..... i have not washed it , but i am sure the bit of yellow will wash out all right ..... the material it was crocheted from is off white anyway. i do not know when exactly it was made ...... but the pattern is a very ornate flower design ...... it measures 45 inches by 66 inches ..... so i think it can be a table cover , or a bed spread either one ...... a color looks very nice when showing through all of the hand work ..... there are a lot of pictures to see ...... have fun and then decide if you can use it or not .....all original and american made ...... thank you for taking the time to search out this listing ........ my family appreciates how hard it is becoming ...... nancy has taken a picture of the most interesting parts on each item ..... any photograph shown will also get larger and show more detail if you click on it and make it ( BIGGER ) .... i do not mean to treat you like children ...... but computers still elude me ...... i can not hook one up.
