Pomp and circumstance of the grandest order for the multi-platinum Meat Loaf and his songwriting mentor, Jim Steinman. The grandiose intro to the title track was indication enough of the tone of the album, with songs stretching out over what at times seemed like musical infinity. Steinman set his songs in evocative wastelands populated by full orchestras and small-town weirdos, 'Paradise By The Dashboard Light' an entire two-handed play in itself, and 'Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad', an overblown symphony of regret and unrequited love. Between them, they pretty much provided the balance of the album. A huge success, only to be repeated by its follow-up in 1993.

This is the very rare and long out of print, limited edition, Sony's Mastersound Series 24 KT gold disc from 1994 of "Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell". One incredible 70's classic rock masterpiece that took Meat Loaf from virtual obscurity to superstardom with this epic collection. Although, not a single track hit number one, the album itself would go on to sell 25 + million records and become the biggest selling rock album of all time. And now, to hear all these gems on this type of recording is unbelievable. If you're looking for the ultimate listening experience of this album, look no further. This is the absolute best sounding recording of this album, period. It will blow you away.

The CD has been painstakingly remastered directly from the original master tapes onto the actual disc you're looking at and not from a master COPY like they use for the regular aluminum commercial discs which delivers the best possible sound. Plus, using the latest sonic technologies including Sony's SBM (Super Bit Mapping) process with 20 Bit Digital transfers and best equipment available in the remastering process. And, the reflective properties of gold offer a much more warm pleasing sound then the regular harsh aluminum discs. It is brand new, still factory sealed, in mint condition complete with the factory sticker on the cover, perfect for gift giving. It is not a cut-out. (No saw marks or drill holes.)
