Hartford Loop Whenever a hot tub's air blower is replaced, it is essential that a new Check Valve is also installed.  This one-way valve will help to assure that water does not back into (and destroy) your new blower.  As an added precaution from water damage, make sure the blower hose has a Hartford Loop above the water line per diagram.
Our quality unit is accepts either 1 1/2" or 2" hose so it works with either size blowers.  In addition, you can use it to adapt a 1 1/2" blower to 2" plumbing by simply attaching a short section of 1 1/2" hose to the blower, and then using the Check Valve to adapt to 2" hose. Do not cement blower connections. A set screw works fine Our Easy Air blowers come with a special hose clamp.
chemical resistant pvc Product notes: Chemically-resistant formula white PVC is superior to the less durable (brittle) clear plastic used for some other blower check valves.
