Hard to Find Beautiful Ethan Allen Country French Round / Oval Dining Room Pedestal Table in the Rich 236 Finish. Table is 48 inches in diameter (round) with two 15 inch leaves, allowing you to create a 63 inch or 78 inch oval table. The pedestal design allows you to sit two people at each end, for those crowded occasions, without having to straddle table legs. The pedestal is exceptionally heavy and makes the table very stable, even with both leaves installed. One of the things that makes this table so rare is the rack and pinion gear mechanism, which allows a single person to open and close the table to add or remove leaves. While this mechanism is extremely simple and should never cause a
problem or break, it is also much more expensive for manufacturers to
install, so most just use a simple wood on wood slide. The table and leaves are in very good condition, with only normal wear and tear from occasional use. Table is pictured 1) round, 2) pedestal base, 3) 63 inch oval (1 leaf), 4) 78 inch oval (2 leaves), 5) rack and pinion gear mechanism. The leaves have the same finish and match the table very well. The table and both leaves are stamped with a trace number of 266304. In addition, the leaves are stamped with the style number, 26-6304 and the date code, 21-7-86 (manufactured in 1986). I apologize for the light reflections in picture 1 and the somewhat poor lighting on pictures 3 and 4. With the leaves in this is a good size table and hard to get a good picture of. Available for free local pickup (Schaumburg, IL). I will deliver in the Chicago area for $25.00 to $100.00, northwest/central Indiana for $100 to $225 and southern Wisconsin for $100 to $225, depending on distance from Schaumburg, IL. If you want the table delivered to the Chicago area, Wisconsin, or Indiana, please email me with your location so I can verify you are within my delivery area and let you know the cost. Shipping to other locations in the northeast quarter of the United States may be available through an independent carrier - contact me for details. I have not found an affordable way to ship to locations other than those listed, since the table exceeds the dimensions allowed by UPS, FEDEX, Greyhound, etc, commercial freight companies won't take it (because I'm not a business) and moving companies have a minimum charge based on 1000 lbs minimum weight times the mileage charge.
