Antique Vintage 1912 “New Home” Treadle Sewing Machine Details: Excellent condition. Red Oak. Serial number 3298940. Measures (unopened) 34.5" L x 19" D/W x 30" H. Measures (opened) 49.75" L x 19" D/W x 30" H. Original shellac / varnish. Fully functional. Leather treadle strap needs to be reconnected or replaced. (See photos) It came undone when I was testing the treadle. Leather still has strength, but you might want to replace it if desired. Please feel free to email me if you have any detailed questions. I include a .75 charge (that the US Post Office charges me) within my EBay shipping and handling fees to pay for shipping and receiving confirmation on all items I send. I DO NOT gouge my customers with excessive shipping fees. I DO NOT make money off of you by charging high shipping costs. I include a minimal handling fee to cover my costs for the time and expense it takes to wrap,package, label and ship your item to you. If you notice in the “shipping area” just below the price it reads: “Pickup only - see item description for details” and just below that it reads “Will arrange for local pickup only (no shipping).

You will also see in my item description that I state: “This is a pick up item only. If you live non-local or international you can arrange a shipping company to pick up this item. I can also assist you in finding a shipping company with a reasonable cost.”

There are a few of you out there interested in this item and have emailed me about the shipping costs. So I have weighed the sewing machine, as I did not anticipate anyone from out of state interested in purchasing this item.

So here are the details: the “New Home” sewing machine weighs 106 pounds unpackaged. That is why I put “local pickup only”.

 if you are interested in this item and are from out of state and you don’t want to arrange a shipping company from your end to pick up the item I can do it for you, BUT there will be a small fee to drop this item off at UPS for them to package and ship. That cost can’t be determined until you buy the item. What you can do is use the dimensions within the listing and the weight and then go to the UPS site and use their shipping calculator to get a rough idea of cost to ship to your location.
