Celebrating humanity's supreme achievements and performances, from man's landing on the moon to the Olympic competitions, Omega watches have been prized for generations by those seeking the most precise timepieces in the world. Since its creation in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has relentlessly pursued watchmaking perfection, earning worldwide honors and fame.
Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els and anyone desiring to wear a watch of excellence and perfection, Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's best Swiss firms as the finest and most expensive timepieces money can buy.
Connoisseurs of oversized and vintage-inspired watches will take great pleasure in the Railmaster XXL Chronometer wristwatch by Omega. Inspired by the important railroad conductor's watches of generation's past which kept America's railroad passengers safe and on-time, the 49.2mm watch is a true statement piece. It's appearance is that of a pocket watch designed for the wrist, and it's manually wound movement, which is COSC Certified (contrôle officiel suisse des chronometres which is the official Swiss governing body), the highest distinction awarded a watch based on its accuracy, beats away fairly leisurely at 21,600 BPH in homage to its predecessors.
An unmistakable "tool watch" with large luminous markers and hands, the Railmaster XXL's dial is clean and simple, nicely devoid of any date windows or subdials, save the small well-positioned seconds. Both case and pocket watch-based movement are very finely finished, indicative of Omega's attention to detail. When you place it on your wrist, wind it and feel the firm, strong resistance of the crown, then hear the pleasant tick-tock cadence of the traditional movement, you're reminded of a simpler time.
We are pleased to offer this very fine, Seamaster Aqua Terra Railmaster XXL Chronometer in mint condition complete with original boxes and open papers.
We have fully inspected and tested the watch, then timed it on a state-of-the-art timing system, revealing it is functioning at excellent levels. Included with the purchase is a full two-year warranty. Current Retail Price: $3300 USD |
