Sino-Turquoise AND SELLING ON EBAY
My hometown is in a mountain area in Hubei province,China.In May, 2004 I returned to Hubei and found the region still extremely poor.  There are many treasures there such as Turquoise, Malachite, Crystals and Fossils but they do not have a way to sell them. When I learned of EBay I realized it would be an excellent way to market these treasures!  We are hoping to develope both business and friendly relationships with foreign friends and even to attract people to China, and even to my hometown,  to invest - so why not? Then this was the beginning of  sino-turquoise!

China is a country whose people always have favored Jade but knew little of Turquoise. Because of being an undeveloped economic country people gave little importance to the Turquoise trade.  In recent years the Chinese jewelry market has taken an upturn and Turquoise jewelry has become more popular.   But, due to the fact the government does not have effective ways to control and organize the different mines, there are more than 100 small and large mines operating.  There are also more than 400 processing factories in the Turquoise area of China.Most factories do not know how to market the Turquoise and the resources have seriously been wasted.There is no "brand name" consciousness!  There have been people driven by profit selling large quantitys  of fake Turquoise which has flooded the market.  It has damaged not only customers but seriously ruined the reputation of Chinese Turquoise in the International market.  Fortunately, more and more people have realized the severity of this situation and they are working on improving it.  We hope it turns out better and better and we believe that more and more people will realize the true value of Chinese Turquoise.

WHY WE PRICE OUR TURQUOISE SO LOW?Because we are in a developing country the pay for each worker in the mine is about $80.00 per month for 10 hours work per day. Probably hard for people outside of our country to believe but it is true.  Our turquoise is directly from the mine.  Our intention is to let people learn about our Turquoise.  We have the support of the local turquoise corporation.  We assure you that every turquoise piece that we sell  is directly from our mine.  Our stones are selected by experts and your satisfaction is guaranteed.
