Up for auction is a STUNNING water color painting on what appears to be silk.

As you can see, it is of a beautiful peacock .

At first glance I thought this was a Japanese woodblock, but after close inspection it is a water color painting.

The Ohio Estate this was purchased from, said they knew it was at least 50 years old, when it was  framed .

That is all I really know about it. But it speaks for itself!!

This is a large piece, being 43" tall and 23" across. Nice gold colored wood frame.

Signed on the lower right side as shown.

 Q: Hi, Are you 100% sure that it's painted on silk and not a high-quality reproduction? The texture on some of the photos look a bit like it's printed on paper.
A: I have been told it is a painting on silk...I do not want to take it apart, so I have to go by what I was told when I had this person look at it. Thanks for the interest...
