This set belonged to a friend's dad who would be about 80. I don't know when he got it as it has no date. The bottom of the wooden box says made in France and the number 1435.All pieces are present and are clean and shiney. One black piece visible in the picture has a small chip at the top. Several have chipped paint varnish  that does not go to the bare wood. All have green felt on bottoms. They store in a wooden box tyhat ahs slide out lid.
