Here is a piece of history for Savannah, This note has Mechanics Savings and Loan Associations on the front  and under this is  Savannah, May 31st,  1862. and says certificate will earn 4% intrest after 30 days,  one readable signature on this note,  Each  end of note has words  TWO DOLLAR,  Reverse of note  has the front of other currencie of that period, Macon, GA can be seen,  and Merchants Bank, along with  a photo of an 1853 U.S. Liberty Seated silver dollar. can be seen on both partial notes, Paper must of been in short supply to do this., This old note is in fine condition and has no problems, just circulation wear,   I  also have $1 note for sale on this bank. I accept cks paypal, ck photo,questions email me, no reserve.
