Vintage Hull Little Red Riding Hood Cookie Jar pre-pat.

This is an authentic Hull Vintage Red Riding Hood Cookie Jar with a closed basket. IT has been in my family for many years. The base reads: 967 Hull Home Little Red Riding Hood Patent Pending Applied For USA. Red Riding Hood stands 13 1/4" tall and has one of the prettiest faces I have ever seen on these jars. The base is in excellent condition in that their are not chips or cracks or repairs. The gold on the apron shows very little wear, which is unusual for a piece of this age. Under a bright light there is a small area on the very bottom on the back hem of her skirt, that appears a hair darker beige than the rest. That area is about 1/2" up from the bottom and 1" wide. It is barely noticeable but I thought I would mention it.

I will describe the flaws: the neck has been repaied as I show in the photo, the inside under the cape has a chip and there is a fine crack line that goes up to the neck. There are three very small surface chips on the cape. The bottom is a light brown color and has a lot of crazing. The exterior of the jar shows fine craze lines due to the age, but they do not detract from it's beauty.
