1973 VINTAGE FISHER PRICE PLAY FAMILY VILLAGE #997 100% COMPLETE WITH BOX This vintage Fisher Price Village is 100% complete, gently played with and very clean. All the lithos are clean and crisp with no peeling or warping. The village opens to two streets connected by a crossover bridge. There is a garage which has a crank up car lift with ratchet sound. The overhead door opens and the gas pump fits all the vehicles in the set. An upstairs apartment has a sofa, coffee table, and sun deck with two chairs and a barbecue. The barbershop has a chair. The police station has a jail cell with bunk. The knob on the roof opens the cell door and has a ratchet sound. There is a policewoman and a patrol car. The bridge is removable, so streets can be rearranged. The knob on the bridge changes the traffic light. The theater has four seats and a stage. Above the theater is a rooftop restaurant with two chairs and an umbrella covered table. The dentist office contains a dentist chair. The post office has a mail box and mail truck. The truck carries six plastic letters, color and number coded, to fit in the matching door slots. When the truck is backed up into the post office, letters pushed through the mailbox load into the truck for delivery. The firehouse has a cot, crank up siren, door that raises and lowers, and a fire engine with an extendable ladder. The phone booth has a closeable door. The people in the village are: the dentist, the barber, the mailman, the policewoman, the fireman, the mother, the girl, the boy and the dog. The vehicles include a police car, a mail truck, a fire engine, and two cars. The village contains all six letters - which is a rarity. The box is clean, but does show some wear. All in all though, the box is in very good condition. As I stated before, this set has been very gently played with and carefully stored in a smoke free and pet free home. Payment, using Paypal, is expected within three days of auction end. The package will be sent via Priority Mail or Parcel Post (your choice) with a tracking number.
