1984 DISCOVERY TOY PLACE & TRACE STENCIL SET ANIMALS +

Discovery toys are wonderful and high quality toys!  My children loved these toys and they're so versatile.  This is a 1984 Place and Trace set that still looks new even though they were used a lot.  They're made of very heavy, durable plastic and feature bright basic colors.  The trays are 8" x 6" and the pieces are around 2" - 3" wide.  The bottom of the box is in very good condition.  The top of the box has creases, folds and some wear and tear around the edges.  Main information on the box reads "Place & Trace, from 18 months, Made in USA, Distributed by Discovery Toys, Pleasant Hill, CA 1984 Discovery Toys".  Sides of the box provides ideas for playing with the toy.  Great toy!

2. Dinosaurs
3. Transportation

These toys can be used for the following purposes:

• Tracing the figures
• Placing the pieces together as a puzzle
• Using the figures as free standing toys (they're 1/2" thick)
• Using the trays as stencils
• Using the figures to stamp out clay figures (or small cookies)
• Using the trays to etch backgrounds for your pictures
• Helping children identify colors
• Helping children identify different animals, transportation or dinosaurs (the dinosaur names are labeled on the tray)
