This 1937 elementary nature/science textbook from The Macmillan Company was written by Edith M. Patch and Harrison e. Howe, with wonderful illustrations by George M. Richards. The illustrations are particularly outstanding, done in a charming 30s style, and there are very many black-and-white line drawings, many full-page, and also a lot of full-page color illustrations, many more than are usually found in textbooks from that time period. The book has a good deal of cover wear, but there are no loose, torn or missing pages and only a small amount of pencil marking on the inside. (neat, careful answering of quizzes, etc., no random scribbling). There are state school textbook stamps from Marshall County, Alabama on the inside front and back, and there is a normal amount of age-darkening and soiling. All in all, good condition for its age, especially for its having been a school textbook. 212 pages, 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1. This book will be shipped via Media Mail. Any questions, please ask. |
