This lot contains two CDV photos of ladies. The lady in the photo on the left is wearing a dark dress with bustle and long train on her skirt. There are ruffles on the edges of her skirt and on the bodice. Photo was taken by Varney in Buckingham, UK. The lady in the photo on the right is wearing a fitted jacket with dark trim and white lace collar. She has a long dark ribbon in her hair. This photo was taken in the U.S. but there is no photographer or location identified. Both photos were taken in the late 1860s. Both has some specks of stain, but these slight mars don’t obscure the images. Good contrast. No bends.
