Vintage Blue Carnival Glass Compote Lidded, Reproduction    

This blue Carnival Glass compote or candy dish is in the grape pattern.  The dish is on a tall pedestal and measures 7 3/4" tall without the cover.  With the cover, it measures 10" to the top of the knob.  The top edge of the dish is scalloped.  Between each scallop is a mold mark which goes from top to bottom.  The pattern seems to be repeated at each mold mark.  This piece was made during the resurgence of Carnival Glass popularity in the 1970s and purchased at that time at a local gift shop our mother haunted.

I can find no chips or cracks. The maker is unknown but we would not be surprised if it was from the Indiana glass resurgence because of its age.  Really beautiful color with gorgeous irridescence in pinks and roses against the teals and blues.  The photos really do not show all the colors.
