I'm not sure if this was an insert, a flyer or promotional piece, but it has some great information for the collector.

One side is titled "Get together with your friends and build sets using simple things found in every home or backyard!"
It has instructions and illustrations to build a table top play set, including scenery lay outs with hills, shore lines, water, streams and ponds, trees and more using orange juice cans, salt, rope, wood scraps, pipe cleaners, etc.

The flip side features:

  • Collecting G.I Joes and G.I. Joe equipment
  • Special message to boys!
  • How to Build your Battle Scenes:  How to build a hill for infantry attack or defense; Build Marine beachhead or navy underwater operation; Using handy materials to build an airstrip or bivouac setting.

This insert has a tear in the seam, but is nevertheless a nice piece to complete your collection.
